I’m a bit tired of the same-sex love stories in these shows. Coronation Street overdoes it with a homo couple, a lesbian couple (one owns The Rover’s Return pub; the other is a detective sergeant), several gays who have no mates and a transgender who runs the corner shop.
EastEnders also has a homo couple and a lesbian couple. Emmerdale has a gay couple who are roughnecks and a transgendered man who is married to a woman.
All of these appear in virtually every episode of each show. I know this because I watch every show. Now I’m no Puritan, and I'm not offended by it, but it’s a bit much, innit?
